Samsung Smart Switch is a Windows desktop application to handle the migration of your current smartphone’s content over to the Samsung Galaxy S4. It supports transfer your mobile phone data to Galaxy S4 from Apple iPhone, Nokia, BlackBerry, LG and other Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Now, let’s take an example of iPhone 4S to copy the data to Galaxy S4.
Step 1: Backup iPhone data with iTunes
Plug your iPhone into your PC and open up iTunes, then click the top right devices button to select your phone. After that, backup iPhone data to computer, but please don’t encrypt iPhone backup. Finally, click Back Up Now button to start backing up your iPhone data.
Step 2: Download Samsung Smart Switch
Download the Smart Switch application from http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/, and then install it onto your computer.
Step 3: Transfer iPhone data to Galaxy S4
Connect your Galaxy S4 to PC, the Smart Switch will detect it. Now, select your iPhone backed up data and check it, then hit Start Transfer button to transfer iPhone data to Galaxy S4.
Currently, the Samsung Smart Switch only supports transfer mobile phone data from Apple, BlackBerry, LG, Nokia, Samsung devices to Galaxy S4. If you want to transfer iPhone, Motorola, LG, Sony Xperia data to Samsung Galaxy S3, S2, S, Note, Note 2, it is not available at present. But you can use mobile phone transfer software to transfer data from Android to Android, or transfer iPhone data to Galaxy series phones.
